Project Description
Renovation of a computer lab at the Queens College Science Building to include the replacement of electric panelboards, lighting fixtures, HVAC diffusers and ductwork, fire alarm system, and pre-action sprinkler system. This work was implemented in an occupied school building, and the work was constructed during off hours to allow for the normal operation of the educational functions in the remainder of the building. Our work included coordination with the College’s furniture vendor to provide power to the electrified furniture. As a cost savings measure, the existing lighting fixtures were cleaned and relocated. A new raised floor was provided. The existing fire alarm system was extended to bring the project area up to current requirements.
