Project Description
In this project, the Bladykas Engineering team skillfully executed a comprehensive upgrade of the electric service from 400 amps to 1200 amps within a historic school building erected in 1898. This involved a meticulous addition of electrical distribution to support air conditioning, computer equipment, general lighting, and power, along with the installation of new electrical receptacles in all classrooms and offices.
The team at Bladykas Engineering employed a phased approach, ensuring that the new system was fully operational before decommissioning the existing system. This was a testament to their strategic planning and execution, especially given the scarcity of free space in the building, which posed a significant challenge in locating new panel boards and riser conduits, as well as the main switchgear equipment. Their expertise and innovative solutions were instrumental in overcoming these challenges, ultimately enhancing the school’s electrical infrastructure for the future.
