Project Description
The Vanderbilt’s Reichert Planetarium is one of the most technologically advanced in the U.S. This project involved the replacement of an existing, outdated GOTO projector with a new state-of-the-art Konica Minolta star projector and Sky Skan digital projection system and audio system. Bladykas Engineering designed electrical power and controls to operate the projection and audio equipment in the control room and in the pit. Design services also included air conditioning and humidity control for the equipment room. The project required excavation and underpinning for an enlarged concrete pit to accommodate the new projector equipment. Additional work included new seating and LED cove lighting.
