Project Description
Bladykas Engineering designed the plumbing systems for a new 62,760 square foot Life Sciences building that houses biology and chemistry laboratories, greenhouses, lecture halls, computer classrooms, meeting rooms, faculty offices and restrooms. The design work, which met all LEED certification requirements, involved new domestic and fire water services with backflow prevention, new natural gas service, storm drainage and overflow, compressed air, sewage ejector pump and point-of-use acid neutralization. Approximately 5,000 students attend classes in the building, which features state-of-the-art educational technology and a platform for increased student research.
