Project Description

The Eastern Suffolk BOCES data center relies on continuous electrical power to provide mission-critical IT support to more than 20 Long Island school districts. Bladykas Engineering designed a new 200 KW standby diesel generator-set and automatic transfer switch, plus modifications to the existing electrical distribution system. The fuel tank was designed in accordance with Suffolk County Department of Health Services requirements. The generator set was provided with camlock, quick-connect terminals to allow for easy load-bank testing. Additionally, the generator control system allowed for remote monitoring and Smartphone notifications to alert facility managers of any change in generator status.
