Project Description
For the 9,000-square-foot Northwell Health Cancer Institute at 270 Pulaski Road, Suite D, Greenlawn, NY, our team designed advanced MEP systems to support a new linear accelerator (LINAC) modality housed in a custom concrete vault. The electrical system featured a new distribution network, delivering stable power to the LINAC and medical equipment, with precise coordination with Varian, the LINAC vendor, to meet technical specifications. The mechanical system included packaged rooftop units with a variable air volume (VAV) system for precise climate control, a dedicated chiller for LINAC cooling, and a new exhaust system for ventilation and infection control, all compliant with healthcare standards.
Our MEP design optimized energy efficiency and reliability across the 9,000-square-foot facility, integrating high-performance systems tailored to the demands of advanced oncology care. This project highlights our expertise in healthcare engineering, ensuring seamless operation of critical equipment and a controlled environment for patient care and staff safety.
