Project Description

Bladykas Engineering provided the MEP engineering for the Emergency Department renovation at St. Catherine of Siena Hospital in Smithtown, NY. This 2,000-square-foot project was carefully phased to keep the facility fully operational, ensuring uninterrupted care for the 24,000 patients treated annually. The renovation included new treatment bays, an expanded waiting area, a modern registration and triage suite, and upgrades to the low-voltage systems throughout the emergency department to support advanced healthcare technologies.

Collaborating closely with Catholic Health Services, Bladykas Engineering delivered solutions tailored to the hospital’s operational needs. From efficient HVAC systems that enhance air quality to resilient electrical and low-voltage infrastructure supporting critical equipment, every aspect of the design prioritized reliability, functionality, and patient care.
