The Montefiore’s Gun Hill Road MRI Facility in Bronx, NY involves designing a compact 1.5T MRI modality, requiring innovative solutions and precise coordination. Collaborating seamlessly across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architecture, and equipment vendors, we ingeniously incorporated a new MRI Scan Room, Equipment Room, and Control Room in under 500 sqft. Our commitment extended to HVAC, integrating supplemental split systems, an MRI chiller, and rooftop equipment, ensuring optimal MRI performance. Despite rooftop space limitations, we adeptly reconfigured existing equipment. The design also featured a bespoke grounding system tailored to the unique user needs.
