When Montefiore Medical Center required the transformation of existing catheterization rooms on the 4th floor of the Hutch Metro Center into fully operational operating rooms, they enlisted the expertise of Bladykas Engineering. Our proficient team conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the pre-existing infrastructure, deeming much of it suitable for retention but recognizing the necessity for additional medical gases to align with compliance standards. We proceeded to modify the HVAC system and incorporate laminar flow diffusers to facilitate the installation of medical booms.

With the aim of mitigating disruptions to the hospital’s regular operations, our approach was to progress the project in strategic phases, focusing on one room at a time. This meticulous planning and execution resulted in the materialization of a cutting-edge operating facility that adeptly meets the needs of both the hospital and its patients.
