This project included the design of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection infrastructure for two MRI machines, one CT machine, one x-ray, two mammography units, one bone densitometry machine, four ultrasound machines, and support space in an existing building. Power was obtained from an existing 13.2 KV substation on site and a 500 KW diesel generator set provided emergency and standby power for the critical equipment and egress lighting. The temperature and humidity environment, as well as line and low voltage power, were designed to the imaging equipment manufacturer’s specifications.
