Project Description

In June 1998, Long Island Veterinary Specialists (LIVS) revolutionized veterinary care in Long Island by unveiling its 24-hour critical care and trauma center, complete with CT and MRI technology within its spacious 12,000-square-foot facility. As LIVS grew and their need for space expanded, Bladykas Engineering was entrusted with transforming their facility into the comprehensive veterinary center it is today.

The remarkable transformation, orchestrated by Bladykas Engineering, has seen the waiting room double in size, now offering a variety of comfortable seating options, refreshments, and modern airport-style media counters complete with stools and built-in charging ports. The number of exam rooms has increased from 14 to 22, each meticulously designed to cater to a variety of veterinary specialties.

Bladykas Engineering’s innovative approach is further demonstrated in their creation of ‘Central Bark,’ a spacious and sanitary indoor potty area for pets. The newly inaugurated LIVS Education Center, featuring a 95-seat tiered amphitheater and a large conference room, both outfitted with state-of-the-art multimedia capabilities, is a testament to the firm’s dedication to advancing veterinary education in collaboration with the College of Veterinary Medicine at LIU. Furthermore, the entire project site has been reimagined by Bladykas Engineering to improve parking facilities and enhance safety measures for both staff and clients. With their commitment to excellence and innovation, Bladykas Engineering has played an integral role in elevating the standard of veterinary care at LIVS.
