As the premier teaching hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center is a nationally recognized leader in surgical care. This project involved the renovation of two existing operating rooms into a single, 760 square foot operating room, designed in compliance with New York State Department of Health requirements. Design services included modifications to the base building HVAC system, new laminar airflow devices, electrical distribution, fire alarm and fire sprinkler. HVAC was designed with stringent temperature, humidity, and filtration control criteria. Project included infrastructure and design to support a Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System by Intuitive Surgical. Electrical distribution was augmented to provide isolated power for the operating room.
