Project Description

Brooklyn Technical High School is a 10 story building and approximately 600,000 square feet. The existing fire alarm system in this high rise building was unreliable and this project replaced the system with a new emergency voice & alarm fire alarm system. The fire alarm system allows for partial evacuation of the building and voice announcements in an emergency via the Fire Command Center, in accordance with the NYC Building Code. The Auditorium, which seats over 3,000 people, was provided with an emergency voice control panel. The wiring was installed with additional protection for survivability in fire, in accordance with NFPA 72 requirements.
