Project Description
Beach Channel High School, located in Rockaway Park, is approximately 400,000 square feet. This project included replacing the existing fire alarm system with a new fire alarm system, including manual pull stations, smoke and heat detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, horns and strobe lights. The fire alarm system was interlocked with the existing kitchen range hood suppression systems, air handlers and boilers. An emergency voice communication system was added into the Auditorium. A sprinkler booster pump, stage deluge system and new backflow devices were added to the fire sprinkler system and water service to provide proper fire protection to the building. The public address system was also replaced under this project.
