Project Description
The 28-foot hyperbaric chamber at Phelps Hospital has, literally, opened new doors to patients for treatment of hard-to-heal skin wounds, post-radiation soft tissue injury, carbon monoxide poisoning and decompression sickness. Patients breathe in pure oxygen while sitting in the pressurized chamber, which seats 12 people. Bladykas Engineering provided a new 100PSI oxygen service from the bulk oxygen supply system to the hyperbaric chamber. The project included new final line relief valves, final line regulators, and source valve at the bulk oxygen supply system. A new emergency oxygen connection for the 100PSI system was provided, and a new alarm system was integrated into the hospital’s master alarm system.
